HELLMAN FUNDRAISER BENEFITS CEDAR VALLEY FAMILIES
Donation Supports Adopt-A-Family Program at Waterloo School

More than a dozen families will receive some much-needed assistance, thanks to an internal fundraising initiative at Hellman in Waterloo. The agency, which is a Partner in Education for the Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence, raised enough money to support 18-20 families through the school’s Adopt-A-Family program. Hellman raised a total of $4,000 for the program.

“The support from Hellman was outstanding,” said Lynn Neill, Family Support Worker at the Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence. “From helping families buy gifts for their children during the holiday season, to helping purchase additional school uniforms for children in need, we value every dollar.”

“Our team is a generous group of people, and it makes us feel good to give back to our community,” said Bob Hellman, Founder and Chairman of the Board at Hellman. “Serving as a Partner in Education for the Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence is incredibly rewarding.”

Hellman has a long history of giving back to the Waterloo community. One of the most notable projects was the construction of Hellman Field in 2008. Located alongside the Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence, the ballpark serves as a neighborhood hub for local baseball and softball programs
