A national collection agency received a large government contract requiring them to more than double their staff in a short period of time. Collection agency staffing is very challenging, and with a project this urgent, they turned to the professionals at Hellman.
Creative Solutions:
Hellman organized a press conference to announce the procurement of the government contract and the $12 million impact it would have on the local economy.
We used the press conference to announce a special "Dare to Compare Job Fair," which was then promoted by targeted TV, radio, outdoor and newspaper advertising.
Hellman created informational media kits, cross-media ads, PR and a website for the client to use in their recruitment efforts.
Superior Results:
The press conference was a huge success, generating a front-page article in the local newspaper and a lead story on the local television news. Local radio stations also heavily promoted the expansion news and job fair details.
CBE was hoping for 400 applicants to attend the job fair - and nearly 900 showed up. More than 1,300 people applied for the open positions. The applicants were much more qualified than those from previous recruiting efforts. CBE filled all the positions they needed.
CBE became a media and community "darling" for bringing in new jobs and opportunities. Hellman worked with local media to continue their coverage of the CBE recruitment and expansion story. That's the kind of positive press that most collection agencies rarely experience.
